Family Support

Parent Friendship Group

Hi there!

My name is Lou Jenkins and I am the Pastoral worker attached to Ashbrook Junior School.

My role is to support parents to engage with all aspects of school life, engaging families within our school community and support them wherever they may need.

I listen and appreciate the stresses of parenting and offer suggestions and advice for families to best support their children and enrich family life. I can further advocate for parents and children when speaking to other agencies, and signpost families onto expert teams who may be able to offer specific support.

I am available to speak to so please call to book an appointment on 01332 673785.

I look forward to meeting many of you soon.

Please do look out in school newsletters, and on the website for special pupil and family learning events I will be running.

Issues I can advise on:

  • Family Issues
  • Family Bereavement
  • Separation
  • Money management
  • Housing
  • Budgeting and Debt
  • Parenting
  • Drug and Alcohol awareness
  • Domestic Violence
  • Family Routines
  • Challenging behaviour

Safeguarding Statement

At Ashbrook Junior School we committed to the safeguarding of all of our pupils; all conversations with parents and carers will be treated with the greatest respect and confidentiality. However, it may at times be necessary to pass on information to other agencies in order to promote the best possible outcome for the child.
