At Transform, we have worked hard to ensure the appropriate policies and procedures are in place across our schools to ensure that we are compliant; that we collect and process data responsibly; and that we store and dispose of information in accordance with the law.

Changes in the law is the result of work by the European Union (EU) to bring data protection legislation into line with new, previously unforeseen ways in which data is used. The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect from Friday 25 May 2018.

The GDPR forms part of the data protection regime in the UK, together with the new Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018). More information on data protection can be found by visiting the Information Commissioner’s Office at www.ico.org.uk.
