For children who are working on Google Classroom, we check daily to see whether the work has been submitted and provide comments as feedback. We are also able to respond to children’s questions (and questions from parents) on there and to offer support or to signpost you to further videos, activities, etc. which will support your child’s learning. Some activities, such as quizzes, may give immediate feedback.
If children are unable to access Google Classroom, we provide paper ‘packs’ containing the same work and support materials for completing them. These packs can be picked up from school on a fortnightly basis (or we will hand-deliver them if you are unable to come into school). You will also be able to return your child’s work so that the teachers can review it. The teachers will send you some feedback via Class Dojo (which all parents access in school). If parents would like to send us photographs of their children’s work/ activities completed in school via Class Dojo, we can also offer feedback for this.
Class teachers will contact the children working at home on a weekly basis via telephone. This is an opportunity for your child to ask any questions and for us to support with feedback if necessary. If we have any concerns, we will be able to speak with you regarding these during the weekly telephone call.
